The 2012 AAFP Scientific Assembly brought together family physicians and aspiring family docs from across the country to share their expertise and insights into the field of family medicine. We all know that family physicians take pride in caring for others without asking for much in return. With that in mind, we at AAFP Insurance Services were excited to have the opportunity to speak to 39 brave volunteers who shared their stories of what inspired them to become family physicians. We heard about the daily challenges they face, advice for current medical students and residents, financial protection and what the best part is about being a family physician.
