As a primary care physician, you’ve probably never had a “typical day” at the office. Every day is different and each patient is unique. But what is an average day like for a family physician?
There are those day-to-day activities that family doctors are all too familiar with. From filling out prescriptions and checking faxes to handling walk-ins and making hospital rounds, the day barely leaves enough time for you to finish your morning cup of coffee. But for family physicians, it’s all in a day’s work.
In the midst of managing administrative duties and seeing dozens of patients with varying ailments, a typical day for a family doc can involve a lot of diversity, and for some, a little bit of fun.
While long hours in the doctor’s office can seem monotonous, for these family physicians, they couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
